Our Services

RSCS Consulting services are geared to help your organization, with over 75 years of experience rolled into one. We are available to help your operations by tailoring our services to fit your exact needs. We take a fair, yet critical look, observing operations and access where you are and where you can be. RSCS can help you short of long term! Some clients just need a quick but thorough look at their operation w/ a fresh set of professional eyes. Other want a deeper analysis and have contracted w us for six months or one year.

What we do. First, we take a silent look at your operation without much notice to help and assist teams in gaining a fair assessment of how your team is performing. Next, we meet with the manager and leadership groups, get your input, put together reasonable goals and objectives that can be incorporated without additional cost.  We help with team building to help the group be more engaged and involved more matter your title.

This is RSCS’ specialty.  We work with you and your team at a grass roots level and understand the dynamics of your team. We come in to help managers with their issues and find solutions, help build a stronger more unified team without making it too complicated. 

Your goal is our goal. Maybe you just want another set of eyes to observe silently and advise the manager. Maybe you want to survey your staff and know more about what drives them or maybe know more about what your key customer groups are thinking.  RSCS works with you to develop and execute a survey that produces valuable information designed for your specific needs.

RSCS also specializes in TRAINING. We tailor training to your needs whether it be a refresher course to get your team aligned with certain procedures, ice resurfacer training etc. All training is on site and under the leadership team’s guidance. Training can be equipment operations, procedures manuals, emergency management, customer services etc.

RSCS can help with start-up planning, budget forecasting, capital planning, overall organizational planning, Revenue planning, etc.

Dave Black Bio

RSCS President and Chief Operating Officer - Specializing in Revenue generation, Budget management and superior service to both customers and municipality.

​30 years as a ice arena and recreation center manager at Eden Prairie Community Center 1990-95 and Bielenberg (Healtheast) Sports Center 1995-2020.

5 years as a consultant for various private groups including TRIA rink (revenue & scheduling), City of Watertown SD and St. Croix Rec Center Stillwater MN.

31 years experience in large ice facility operations management with the Minnesota North Stars 1979-90, and multi-use facilities with adjoining venues like indoor turf facilities and community centers.

 30+ years Ice Arena Facilities Manager for ISD #77 Mankato, MN

5 years private consulting for the City of Mankato regarding the Mayo Center operations

4 years private consulting for the City of Bemidji, MN regarding the Sanford Center operations, City of Watertown SD, St. Croix Rec Center, Stillwater MN.

30+ years private consulting for various company engineers, facilities and cities. Including the Pettit National Ice Center in Milwaukee, WI.
